Fanuc alarm STATUS2:b, c, d: Inverter motor current alarm L/M/N axis (servo unit)

What it means

STATUS2 b/c/d on the βi SVPM report abnormal motor current on the L, M or N servo axis respectively, corresponding to CNC alarm SV0438. Causes span wiring, motor, motor ID setting and the amplifier itself.

Likely causes

• Phase-to-phase or ground short in power leads or motor windings
• Incorrect motor ID / servo parameter setting
• SVPM inverter section failure or motor failure
