Fanuc alarm STATUS2:L: FSSB communication error COP10A (servo unit)

What it means
STATUS2 'L' on the βi SVPM (or βi SVM) means the amplifier is not receiving FSSB communication coming back on COP10A from the slave direction — look at the amplifier farthest from the CNC showing 'L'.
Likely causes
- Damaged COP10A optical fiber near the far end of the chain
- Optical transceiver failure in an amplifier at/farther than the flagged unit
- Termination issue at last amplifier in chain
Triage note: Work from the farthest unit toward the CNC when swapping cables.
