What it means
Inverter: abnormal motor current alarm (axis identified by amplifier LED detail).
Likely causes
- Power lead phase-to-phase short or ground fault
- Motor winding short / insulation breakdown
- Incorrect motor ID setting
- SVM inverter failure
Triage note: Field guides (TIE, MRO): megger leg-to-leg and leg-to-ground, min 1Mohm at 500V; alarm persisting with leads disconnected = amplifier. One of the two most common Fanuc drive-failure presentations.
