Fanuc alarm SV0489: SAFETY PARAM ERROR (CNC)

What it means
The CNC validated its safety parameter set and found it defective - out-of-range values or a corrupted parameter area among the protected safety parameters (Nos.1023, 1829, 1838, 1904, 1942-1950, 1998, 4372, 4438-4442, 13800-13991 ranges). Re-entering the complete safety parameter set clears it. Safety parameters are code-protected (No.3225), so the integrator password is needed.
Likely causes
- Corrupted safety parameters after battery/power incident
- Invalid value entered during commissioning
- Parameters restored from a backup taken on a different configuration
