What it means
Regenerative energy returned by the motors during deceleration exceeded the discharge capacity handled by the power supply. Frequent rapid decel cycles of heavy axes generate more regen than the resistor network can burn off. Reduce acceleration/deceleration frequency, verify the external regen resistor connection and resistance, or upgrade discharge capacity.
Likely causes
- High-frequency rapid traverse cycles of heavy axes
- External regenerative resistor open or wrongly valued
- CX A20/CZ6 regen resistor jumper or connector miswired
- Vertical axis counterbalance loss increasing braking demand
