Siemens alarm 10763: Channel %1 block %2 path component of the block in the compensation plane becomes zero

What it means

While radius compensation is active, a block was programmed that moves only perpendicular to the compensation plane, leaving zero projected path length in that plane. The compensated side of such a block is undefined. Move the third-axis motion outside the compensated section or add an in-plane component.

Likely causes

• Pure Z plunge block inside an XY compensated contour (G17)
• Retract block moving only along the tool axis while CRC is active
• Drilling-style move embedded in a milling contour program
