Siemens alarm 112*: Zero-speed control

What it means

At standstill or clamping, the following error could not be removed within the 'Control enable cutout delay' time, or a mechanically clamped axis was pushed beyond the 'Zero speed monitoring' window. Causes range from actuator/tacho/motor faults to measuring-circuit hardware problems and wrong position-control direction at start-up; cleared by RESET key.

Likely causes

• Defective actuator, tachometer or motor
• Fault in CNC measuring-circuit hardware or pulse encoder
• Clamped axis forced out of position
• Wrong position-control direction / setpoint assignment at commissioning
