Siemens alarm 132*: Control loop hardware

What it means
The differential measuring-circuit signals are not in phase, have a short to earth, or are missing entirely - the position-loop hardware itself is broken. NC START is inhibited with follow-up operation, and the alarm can only be cleared by switching the control off/on after repair.
Likely causes
- Encoder/scale cable unplugged, broken or crushed in drag chain
- Coolant ingress in measuring-system connectors
- Defective encoder or EXE pulse-evaluation unit
- Earth fault in signal lines
