What it means

The measuring-circuit difference signals are out of phase, have an earth fault or are missing completely, so position feedback hardware has failed. Check connector seating, use the measuring-circuit short-circuit connector to test the group, inspect difference signals and MD 200*/384* settings; replace encoder if needed. Cleared only by POWER ON.

• Encoder/scale cable disconnected or damaged
• Earth fault in measuring-circuit lines
• Failed pulse encoder or EXE evaluation electronics
