What it means
The temperature sensor on the NCU has reached its response threshold, indicating excessive temperature inside the NCU box or cabinet. Machining is not interrupted, but continued operation at high temperature accelerates component ageing. The alarm clears automatically once the sensor temperature drops again.
Likely causes
- Blocked or failed NCU box fan(s)
- Cabinet filter mats clogged or enclosure fans defective
- Ambient temperature above specification (typically >40 °C)
- NCU mounted directly above heat sources such as drives or transformers
