What it means

A hardware limit-switch signal (+/-) arrived at PLC interface inputs DB380x DBX1000.0/.1 and NC start is disabled for the axis. On referenced axes the software limits should respond first; if they do not, limit machine data (MD36100/36110/36120/36130) or switch positions are wrong.

Likely causes

• Axis jogged into physical limit switch before homing
• Software limit machine data misconfigured
• Defective limit switch or wiring giving permanent signal
