What it means
Switching the axis/drive parameter set (often linked to gear stages) from the current set to the requested one was refused. Both sets and the machine state must permit the change; otherwise the old set remains active.
Likely causes
- target parameter set missing or identical to current set
- change requested during motion or while another changeover is running
- drive faulted or not enabled, refusing the switchover
- PLC sequencing requests sets faster than the drive can apply them
