Siemens alarm 300603: Axis %1, drive %2 DC link voltage too high

What it means
Reset-class monitor: with dynamic energy management enabled (MD 1165), the measured link voltage (MD 1701) rose above the maximum MD 1163. Unlike the infeed's hard LED-level overvoltage trip, this is the drive-model side of the same physics - braking energy arriving faster than regeneration can export it.
Likely causes
- regeneration capacity of I/R infeed insufficient for the duty cycle
- braking resistor/pulsed resistor undersized or failed (UI-type infeeds)
- MD 1163 threshold set too tight for the application
- line supply condition limiting regenerative feedback
Triage note: Clears with RESET; if recurrent, log DC link voltage against spindle decel events to prove regen shortfall before replacing hardware.
