Siemens alarm 300609: Axis %1 drive %2 encoder cut-off frequency exceeded
SINUMERIK 840D/810D powerline drive alarm (SIMODRIVE 611D) · SIMODRIVE 611D/611U
What it means
The incremental frequency of the motor measuring system (speed actual value times encoder lines, MD 1005) passed the 650 kHz evaluation limit of the 611D input stage. Either the axis truly oversped, the wrong line count is parameterized, or slip/belt effects are producing impossible speed readings.
Likely causes
- wrong encoder line count in MD 1005 (or wrong encoder substituted)
- belt slipping in torque-controlled mode generating false counts
- encoder cable/screening fault corrupting signal edges
- genuine mechanical overspeed
