Siemens alarm 300613: Axis %1 drive %2 maximum permissible motor temperature exceeded

What it means
Either the KTY84 sensor read through the motor encoder cable exceeded shutdown limit MD 1607, or the electrothermal motor model reached 100% utilization (MD 1266). This is the final overtemperature trip - the pre-warning stage (and 300614 time monitor) normally precedes it.
Likely causes
- sustained motor overload (duty cycle, cutting parameters, counterbalance failure)
- blocked/failed motor fan, clogged cooling ribs
- temperature sensor or encoder cable fault giving false reading
- winding fault raising current draw
- torque/power limits (MD 1230/1235) set too high for the motor size
Triage note: After the trip, let the motor cool and compare sensor resistance against the KTY84 curve to separate real heat from sensor drift.
