Siemens alarm 61006: Tool radius too large

What it means
The radius of the active cutter exceeds what the programmed geometry allows, for example a pocket detail, slot corner or contour step that is physically smaller than the tool. The cycle rejects the call rather than gouging the part. Use a smaller tool or open up the programmed geometry.
Likely causes
- Cutter diameter larger than slot/pocket detail in the cycle parameters
- Wrong tool loaded compared with the tool assumed in the program
- Corner radii or residual-stock allowances left too tight
