What it means
One of the ±15 V electronics rails generated in the infeed's low-voltage converter is out of regulation or shorted; gating pulses for the complete drive group are deleted. Since all control boards hang on these rails via the X351 equipment bus, one failed consumer board can drag the whole group down.
Likely causes
- low-voltage converter failure inside the infeed/NE module
- short or overload on the ±15 V rail distributed via X351 (often one defective regulator/control plug-in board)
- equipment bus ribbon damaged/pin shorted
- overheated infeed electronics section
Triage note: Isolation trick: restart after unplugging X351 - if the red LED clears, reintroduce boards one by one; the board whose return restores the fault is the offender.
