What it means
The internal +5 V electronics level is faulted; as with LED 1 the gating pulses of the entire drive group are suppressed. The +5 V rail feeds the digital electronics of every control board in the group, so both source-side and consumer-side failures present identically.

- infeed 5 V converter defective
- short circuit on the 5 V distribution through the equipment bus
- defective control/regulator board loading the rail
- connector corrosion/contamination raising rail resistance
