What it means
The programmed lateral infeed (stepover) width exceeds the diameter of the active tool, so adjacent passes could never blend and unmachined islands would remain. The face-milling and pocket cycles reject this combination. Reduce the infeed width below the tool diameter.
Likely causes
- Stepover parameter larger than cutter diameter
- Wrong tool radius active for the programmed stepover
- Roughing parameter set copied from a bigger cutter
