What it means
Two monitors share this fault: at ramp-up, rotor position versus encoder-reported position deviated by more than 45 degrees (like 611D alarm 300512); in operation, acceleration direction opposed the commanded torque direction, i.e. the drive pushed backwards. Siemens warns that operation must not resume until the cause is removed - risk of uncontrollable motion.

- dirt/contamination on encoder or shifted encoder mounting
- absolute-track fault, lost pulses, or damaged encoder cable
- mechanically blocked axis driving torque into stall
- monitoring window P1645/P1646 marginal on oscillating loads
