What it means
The Thyristor Control Board (TCB) of a Basic Line Module has saved a fault. It covers line-side problems (no/low line voltage, open line contactor, frequency outside 45-66 Hz), DC-link short circuits including during pre-charging, and internal TCB failures. The stored fault can only be cleared by de-energizing the TCB supply for at least 10 s after fixing the cause.
Likely causes
- line supply voltage missing, too low, or outside 45-66 Hz
- line contactor not closing or its control wiring faulty
- short circuit or ground fault on the DC link
- DC-link short during the pre-charge phase
- internal defect in the Thyristor Control Board
Triage note: Evaluate the diagnostic LEDs on the Thyristor Control Board; check p0857 monitoring time before condemning hardware.
