Siemens alarm F30015: Power unit: Phase failure motor cable

What it means

Phase-failure monitoring in Servo or Vector drive objects detected a missing current in one motor phase. Chassis-format power units have no such monitoring - it applies to booksize Motor Modules. The alarm can also appear with a correctly connected motor when the speed control is unstable and produces oscillating torque, so controller tuning should be checked before replacing parts.

• loose, broken or burnt conductor in one motor-cable phase
• bad contact in the motor/power connector
• unstable speed controller generating oscillating torque
• drive stalled in U/f control with asymmetric currents (Vector)
