What it means
Saturation voltage of an IGBT outside expected range at operating current - indicates degraded/failing transistor or gate driver.
Likely causes
- IGBT degradation (thermal cycling ageing)
- gate-driver failure on power-unit board
- output short history having stressed the bridge
- loose power connections generating local heating
Triage note: Practically always ends in replacement of the whole power module; board-level IGBT repair only economical on large chassis units.
