What it means
The calculated temperature difference between heat sink and power chip exceeded its permissible limit - the thermal model of the power unit sees stress beyond design. This is a duty-cycle problem as often as a cooling problem: repeated peak loads, pulse frequency above rated, or degraded airflow all push the model over the edge. Monitor r0037 (power unit temperatures) to see which limit was approached.
Likely causes
- load duty cycle not maintained (too many/high peaks)
- fan failure or clogged heatsink/air filter
- ambient temperature too high
- pulse frequency set higher than rated value
- motor overload
