What it means
The Control Unit received faulty telegrams from the power unit over DRIVE-CLiQ. The fault cause decodes the protocol violation: CRC/checksum error, telegram length mismatches, wrong address/type versus the receive list, SYNC problems, set error bit, or a telegram arriving too early. This is the classic symptom of a failing or marginally contacted DRIVE-CLiQ cable/plug somewhere between CU and module.
Likely causes
- intermittent DRIVE-CLiQ cable or contaminated contacts
- EMC coupling into the DRIVE-CLiQ line (routing near power cables)
- mismatched topology/firmware causing list-type mismatches
- defective DCL socket/transceiver on the component
